Four Downs, Then Turnover
Written by Rob Goldman

Two great weeks of stock market performance and the start of college football season means….a turnover is in the offing, with stocks slated to move lower in September. See the reasons why the four-down drive will stall and why it is imperative you do not follow the herd.

We are entering an odd time of the year where weather, economic, or military-related events can be a big short term driver of certain stocks. See how to play these events as they happen.

Our last two Company updates, ForceField Energy (NASDAQ – FNRG) and ForeverGreen (OTCQB – FVRG) had great weeks on increased volume despite the lower broader market trading activity. FNRG busted through its short-selling resistance to reach its highest price since April and FVRG rose 25% as investors cheered the Company’s progress.

Some of you may be reading this while on vacation so I will cut right to the chase. In this week’s edition of The Goldman Guide, we have uncovered some simple benchmark numbers that have passed by all the talking heads and could be the key to why stocks could get a real bounce this week. This bounce may coincide with a similar rise in a well-known, yet low-priced NASDAQ stock that this year will sell over $150M worth of products that will shock you.

I Want to Own These Stocks Now

Our recent gold and mining performance prediction was on the money as these groups excelled last week. Still, since this is the last week for a number of key market events, we profile 3 stocks that we want to own for the short and intermediate term.

They include:

  • A hot microcap back-to-school play
  • A smokin’ coal stock

and….

  • …a cheap, high growth defense stock to leverage the new Iraq airstrikes

Profiting from a Correction
Written by Rob Goldman

Last week was ugly as the major market indices declined by the largest margin in two years. As some of you are aware we called the market top in our daily blog just before the big selloff and proclaimed a correction was already in place.  In response, we published a report on Friday that discusses how to survive and profit from a correction. While we may not be close to one with big caps (yet), the Russell 2000 Index is already down over 8% YTD, a hair below the 10% correction mark.

One of the problems we face in stocks today is that the bears are so over the top in their prognostications. “Worst bubble than 1929 or 2007”. “A 20% or greater correction is around the corner.” “Most painful correction we have ever had.”  These statements do more harm than good. After all, they don’t tell you what to do, just to be scared!

That is why in this week’s edition of The Goldman Guide we highlight two ways to profit from a correction, regardless of size and duration.

Stock Market Survival Guide
Written by Rob Goldman

We are so concerned about the stock market’s direction, especially its August performance, that we stayed up all night and published this report which not only provides history and detail from a variety of sources regarding the likely August performance and beyond, but 13 steps to weathering a correction and potentially generating profits too. Of course we had a little help from Peter Lynch and John D. Rockefeller, among others.

This report may be the most important document we have ever compiled and the timing could not be better. It is a must read and feel free to share the link with your friends, family, and colleagues.

Four Potentially Profitable and Quick Trades
Written by Rob Goldman

The combination of earnings season, a return to volatility, and a heavy IPO market are a day trader’s dream. Of course it also presents opportunity.

  • Last week’s El Pollo Loco IPO (NASDAQ – LOCO) had a huge opening and with 20+ IPOs on tap this week, there may be one of the bunch that could be as hot as LOCO. See which one we think it is.
  • Buying shares of stocks expected to report strong comparisons before they announce their results is usually a very profitable trade.  Check out these 3 stocks forecast to announce strong results that offer potential for a quick and profitable trade.

The Most Tradable Stock Ever
Written by Rob Goldman

Last week was a hoot, wasn’t it? The Street couldn’t decide if it was time to act like Chicken Little or sing Don’t Worry, Be Happy. The beauty of it is that it doesn’t matter that not being bullish is no longer politically correct and a punishable offense both in your investment portfolio but through derision by bulls. We have found what we believe is the best way to trade volatility intraday or over a 2-3 day period. It is the most tradable stock (well ETF, actually) ever, and not only was it up 21% on Volatile Thursday but even we made money trading it---and you can too.
