Rob Goldman, Founder and Managing Director
Rob Goldman founded Goldman Small Cap Research in 2009. As part of his management duties, Rob leads the Firm's investment research strategy, and oversees a team of contractor analysts and editors, while serving as chief analyst. Since 2016, Rob has also served as Director of Research of Marble Arch Research Inc., an independent research firm focused on early stage private companies.
Rob has over 25 years of investment and company research experience as a senior research analyst and as a portfolio and mutual fund manager. During his tenure as a sell-side analyst, Rob was a senior member of Piper Jaffray's Technology and Communications teams. Prior to joining Piper, Rob led Josephthal & Co.'s Washington-based Emerging Growth Research Group. In addition to his sell-side experience Rob served as Chief Investment Officer of a boutique investment management firm and Blue and White Investment Management, where he managed Small Cap Growth portfolios and The Blue and White Fund. As an investment manager, Rob's model portfolio was once ranked the 4th best small cap growth performer in the U.S. by Money Manager Review. In addition to his work at GSCR, Rob also serves as Managing Director, Research of Marble Arch Research, Inc. which primarily covers early stage, privately-held companies.
Chris Williams, Operations Manager
Ms. Williams joined GSCR in 2016 and as our Operations Manager leads our back office and administrative functions. Chris assists the team with due diligence on research projects, along with management of our vendor relationships, and project management related to our joint venture partners. Prior to joining GSCR, Chris served a Supervisor of Information Operations for the University of Baltimore and as an administrative assistant for businesses and non-profit organizations. A native of the island nation Trinidad and Tobago, Chris earned her B.A. degree in Human Services Administration from the University of Baltimore.
