|Goldman Select Research|
The Firm produces research via two formats: Select Research and Opportunity Research. The Select product represents the Firm’s internally generated stock ideas including The Market Monitor, which is our daily blog, our free weekly newsletter The Goldman Guide and our premium newsletter, The 30-30 Report, which profiles stocks we predict will rise 30% in 30 days.
Given that the small cap and micro cap world carry greater risks than larger capitalization stocks, Goldman Small Cap Research analysts enlist tried and true coverage criteria used by Rob Goldman as a hghly successful mutual fund and small cap money manager, prior to taking on any assignments. These critiera include the following:
The Firm’s Select stock coverage can run the gamut from penny stocks to firms with market capitalizations of up to $1 billion, but typically trade below $10 dollars with average market caps below $500M. These firms are typically under the radar of the Street and our coverage includes stocks in virtually all sectors of the market. Readers may find more in-depth financial analysis and historical trends with these compaies as compared to Opportunity Research coverage, as some of these stocks may have many years of recorded revenue and earnings history.
Our Market Monitor-featured stocks are great for day traders or those with limited holding horizons as they are usually event-driven momentum plays that could jump 15-25%. Occasionally, we highlight bottom-fishing candidates as well. In addition to market and economic commentary,The Goldman Guide features some of these stocks as well as new ideas, based upon sector rotattion events or recommendations.
The 30-30 Report, an increasingly popular new premium newsletter, profiles stocks we predict will rise 30% in 30 days. Since its launch in May 2012 through November 2012, our top 6 performers are up an average of 64% from profile price to peak price, and fully half of all stock featured have reached the targeted 30% mark.
